Mr. Sheldon Cyrus
Chairman
An attorney-at-law and Chartered Secretary, Sheldon Cyrus is currently pursuing a Master of Laws degree (LLM), specialising in Corporate and Commercial Law. He holds an LLB from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of the United Kingdom. He served for several years as the General Manager, Legal and Corporate Services at National Flour Mills Limited and acted as CEO before his departure in 2006. Mr Cyrus also served on the Mediation Board of Trinidad and Tobago until January 2008 and currently serves on the Board of the Trinidad & Tobago Electricity Commission. He has worked in several other industries, including insurance and public transportation and is currently providing legal consultancy services to a number of corporate clients while pursuing other business interests. |

Ms. Beverly Paul-Alves
Beverly Paul-Alves, Deputy Chairman, is employed with Telly Paul General Insurance Services Limited in the position of Financial Comptroller and Senior Underwriter . Holder of a Bachelor of Commerce degree with majors in Accountancy and Management, she is a member of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. From 1990 to 1992, Ms Paul-Alves, whose areas of expertise include accountancy and general insurance, held the position of Audit Senior at Ernst & Young. |

Dr. Lancelot Cowie
Dr. Lancelot Cowie is the holder of a Ph.D. in Spanish/Latin American Studies from the University of the West Indies. He is Founder and Director of the Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean at the UWI St Augustine Campus. He also serves as Coordinator for Latin American Studies at UWI. Dr Cowie has published various articles on social and cultural issues in Latin America and the Caribbean in respected journals and books. |

Dr. Arthur C. Potts
Dr. Arthur C. Potts, a Fisheries and Marine Resource Management Specialist, is the substantive Administrator Division of Education, Youth Affairs and Sport, Tobago House of Assembly (THA). He is currently seconded to the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT) as Senior Research Associate, in the Marine Sciences Programme at the Institute of Marine Affairs. He is the holder of a B.S. degree in Marine Sciences and Biology, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures, with a graduate minor in Environmental Studies. Dr Potts has had a long and distinguished career in the public service, where he worked in Agriculture Extension, Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Resources Management, as well as Public Sector Administration and Management. He has published a number of peer-reviewed scientific papers in reputable journals and served as a part-time lecturer at KFS, ECIAF and UWI. He is a commissioned officer in the Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force. |

Ms. Helen Kennedy
Helen Kennedy is the holder of a B.Sc. degree in Natural Sciences and an M.Sc. degree in Food Technology from the University of the West Indies. Her post-graduate career includes seventeen (17) years in the manufacturing industry in the management of Production, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Quality Management Systems based on the ISO 9001:2000 model and Food Safety Systems based on Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points (HACCP). Her experience in the education sector includes past teaching appointments in the secondary school system and her current position of Manager, Quality Assurance & Accreditation at the National Training Agency. |

Mr. Earl Lovelace
Earl Lovelace is an author, novelist, playwright and essayist. The holder of a Master of Arts degree (1974) from Johns Hopkins University, he has written five novels including the widely acclaimed "The Dragon Can’t Dance". He was educated at Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry (ECIAF) and Howard University. In 2004, Mr. Lovelace was awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of the West Indies. He has held positions of Visiting Professor at Wellesley College, Massachusetts; Writer-in-Residence at the London Arts Board; Lecturer at the UWI, St. Augustine campus; Visiting Novelist at Johns Hopkins University and Lecturer at the University of the District of Columbia. He was most recently Distinguished Novelist in the Department of English at Pacific Lutheran University, Tacoma, Washington. |

Ms. Nicole Cain
Nicole Cain is the Manager of the Information Technology Department of Methanex Trinidad Limited, a subsidiary of Methanex Corporation. Prior to joining Methanex, she worked at various energy-based companies in the areas of manufacturing, information technology, materials and logistics. She holds A BSc. (Honours) Degree in Computer Science and Management from the University of the West Indies and is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE). She also possesses an International Masters of Business Administration (Distinction) from the University of the West Indies Institute of Business. |

Mr. Jerry Medford
Jerry Medford, R. Eng., B.Sc., Dip Mgmt., MASCE FAPE, is a Registered Civil Engineer, who is involved in the Energy Sector as a Senior Project Manager. At present, he is a member of the Board of Engineering of Trinidad and Tobago and serves as a Director of Weldfab Limited and Weldfab (Barbados) Limited. Mr. Medford has been involved in a number of major civil Energy Sector projects undertaken in Trinidad, Barbados, Suriname and St Lucia. |

Ms. Joy Caesar
Joy Caesar, a retired banker, is former Vice-President of Citibank, Trinidad & Tobago Ltd. She is Musical Director of Southernaires Choir and Chairman of the Naparima Bowl. Actively involved in culture, Ms. Caesar is holder of the Chaconia Medal (Gold). She also currently serves as Chairman of the Sport and Culture Board of Management. |
