Programmes


Radiation Therapy
The programme in radiation therapy extends over a period of three (3) years and consists of a combination of theory and practice..  Each year consists of two (2) full semesters (15 weeks each) and a shortened summer session (10 weeks). The structure is based on the credit-hour system and students are expected to complete a total of 122 credits before graduating from the programme.   Before a student registers for a particular course, the pre-requisites must be completed.   This is indicated in the syllabus outline for each course.

Radiography

B.Sc. Radiography Degree Completion
This programme offers a bridge to the B.Sc. Radiography Degree for graduates of the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiological Sciences. It comprises 16 credits completed over a 12-month period on a part-time basis and includes a research paper.

Health Science Degree Access Certificate Programme
This HSDA certificate programme is foundational programme for students desirous of pursuing undergraduate programmes in the health sciences. It provides students with an opportunity to explore career options. Courses in the HSDA certificate are also transferable to  other programmes in the College and beyond.

Advanced Diploma in Medical Ultrasound
This programme is offered jointly with the Michener Institute for Applied Health Sciences in Toronto, Canada. A unique blend of distance education via online courses for theoretical work and a local/regional extensive clinical practice has proven to be a very successful instructional model for professionals wishing to uprade their skills in this area. The Department coordinates the clinical experiences and monitors local students. The duration of this programme is 30 months, with 9 months dedicated to full-time clinical practice in local health facilities. Attachments to regional health facilities are also arranged.
