Career Centre

Students who need assistance with selection of a major, career exploration, career coaching, or career decision-making should visit the Admissions Office for help with interest and/or personality inventories.  The Admissions Staff may also make referrals to other departments in the college, which will provide assistance specific to the individual student.  The Department of Health and Counseling also offers free workshops and seminars to students, in areas of job search skills, resume preparation, and interviewing skills.  COSTAATT students also have free access to Regency Recruitment Limited employment agency for help with job and career opportunities.

Assessment and Testing

COSTAATT offers students a diagnostic assessment to ensure appropriate placement in college classes.  New students are given the appointment date for their testing during the admissions process.  The test date is also published in the local newspapers. All students admitted to COSTAATT are required to take this placement test in Math, English, and Reading Skills.  This test is NOT an entrance test.  Students taking this test have already been admitted to COSTAATT.  It is a placement test to ensure that students begin at their appropriate levels in Math and English.  There is no charge to students for this placement test.
