Library E-Learning Resources

The COSTAATT libraries’ electronic resources network includes an online catalog (COSPAC) 1; access to over 21,000 full text journals from EbscoHost, OCLC FirstSearch and Gale Cengage’s Academic OneFile, as well as a small collection of 198 e-books. In addition, as members of OCLC, the libraries also have access to 3,457 e-books.

Registered users can utilize these resources by accessing networked or wireless computers in the libraries at the City, South and Tobago campuses. Access to the EBSCO databases is available 24 hours a day; seven days a week from any computer that has an internet connection.

The online catalogue, COSPAC which is accessible directly at http://cospac.costaatt.edu.tt, provides easy access to the collections.

All new students are required to attend a library orientation session during orientation week and must also consult the Library Services Guide for information on circulation and reserve materials.

The licenses for most of these services to which the College subscribes allow use by current staff and students of COSTAATT only.

		EBSCOhost This is a powerful online reference system that provides access to bibliographic and full text databases. It offers a variety of proprietary full text databases and popular databases from leading information providers.
		Gale Virtual Reference Library and Academic OneFile Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias and specialized reference sources for multidisciplinary research. Academic OneFile is the premier source for peer-reviewed, full text articles from the world’s leading journals and reference sources. It offers extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other areas.
		OCLC FirstSearch FirstSearch provides electronic access to a broad range of databases and full text collections. All materials owned by COSTAATT library are highlighted in the search results.
