COURSE DESCRIPTION

During this introductory course, participants will explore the basic theory behind different types of henna dye and their properties. The synthesis of the henna is discussed to better understand the application and staining relationship as it relates to mehndi application. Upon completion, this understanding helps participants to hone their skills to create a variety of long lasting designs. Specific focus is placed on the following:
− Theory on henna and Mehndi
− Choosing henna materials
− Preparing and storing the henna paste
− Application principles and techniques
− Basic designs

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants seeking admissions to this short course must be sixteen (16) years and over.
