Assistive Technologies for Young Children

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for providing assistive technology to young children. It recognises that technology has changed the world. Children who cannot experience the world and learn from it typically require additional supports. This course provides strategies for providing those supports in the home and in early childhood care and education settings. Teachers, parents and caregivers, having explored the theoretical and practical experiences, will be able to provide supports to those children whose opportunities have been compromised.
